Excellent seafood at great prices. The soon hock was fresh and cheap for 1kg fish. Also had the sesame oil chicken, seafood soup and green dragon hives. All were tasty, not salty and very good value. Highly recommended.

It's absolutely delicious. It's by far the best restaurant I've been to in Johor Bahru in a month. 👍 Even my picky kids, who are sensitive to aromas, said it was the best.
The crab was fresh, plump, and well-seasoned.
It was delicious, just right, and without any frills.
The restaurant is basic, but clean, and the owner is friendly and welcoming.

Food was really fresh. Had 2 crabs, 1 steam and 1 Kam Heong. Steam version can really taste the sweetness of the crab. Soon Hock was very fresh also and butter squid super tasty. Lady boss very attentive and very friendly. Will definitely recommend!

As expected of a seafood expert, the ingredients were incredibly fresh.
The portions were generous, and the food wasn't too salty 👍 The black pepper crab and soft-shell crab were absolutely delicious 😋 The fish maw and sea cucumber hot pot was also fantastic 👍 The set meals they offer are definitely worth it, perfect for celebrating a birthday 🪅

A very good place to eat and gather. Nice food, friendly staffs. The seafood here is strongly recommended. The freshness of the crab is always there signature! WOW. What am amazing treat. Loved this place. Doesn't look fancy or inviting from outside. But the crabs among the best I've ever had in SEA. Salted egg was delicious and black pepper just over the top wonderful! Satong also blew my mind. I would eat here every chance I get. Had special 3x crabs for 120 ringgit. Can't beat that for very large crabs and incredibly well prepared. Hurry. I'll eat them all! They also sell beer. In a can. But washed it all down just nice!

Great seafood place! The Crab with Vermicelli & Fish Maw with Sea Cucumber Claypot Braised is really flavorful & goes well with rice! Black Pepper Crab on the slight salty side, you may want to request less salty for those that prefer less salty food. Nevertheless still very good on the pepper taste and the freshness of the craba are all really 👍 Soft shell crab is also really juicy & nicely fried! Come with more people so you can try out other choices. Will come back & try some other dishes next time! Lady boss is also really friendly and environment is generallly clean. For larger group you might need to split table or maybe call in to check as the generally table fits about 7 pax estimate.

Black pepper and kam heong crab was very umami! Salted egg prawns was big, crispy and delicious. The food has very strong flavors and can be a bit salty. Steamed hong kong fish is a must, very fresh! Very happy to have found this place after golf at palm IOI (about 30mins drive, but its in the direction back to sg). Also a plus that it is a no pork no lard place.

We'd had a previous crab failure in Johor Bahru, so we carefully researched on Google and found this place. We're used to the jumbo crabs in Singapore, and the chili crab and pepper crab were delicious. The soft-shell crab was also tender. However, the hot plate tofu we ordered as an extra was a bit bland. I think we'll come back again next time.

Would have wanted to try their steam HK styled wild caught soon hock going at around RM78 if we had the appetite but we decided to go for the Chilli crab set (RM138 for 2 XL mud crabs, 1 deep fried softshell crab and 4 large mantou buns), salted egg sotong, claypot fish, and belachan kangkong.
Chilli crab 9/10. Slightly more flavourful on the spicy and saltier end, and my family actually preferred this compared to the others we have tried. Crabs were large and meaty and the freshly made mantous became the perfect scoop for the sauce.

Cosy family owned seafood restaurant that specialises in crabs, recommended by our friend after he came here with his wife and enjoyed themselves.

🦀 first impressions were that they were pretty huge, 500g thereabouts according to lady boss, and they were properly spicy (which we enjoyed). The chilli crab was a little mushy and wasn’t as comparable to the black pepper in terms of taste - not sure if the freshness affected the taste? Would stick to the black pepper in future.
🦀 the soft shell crab was one of the meatiest I have had, which came as a set with 2 crabs and 4 mantou for 135RM (+5RM for 2 flavours)
🦐 the prawns were a little too steep, 4 prawns for 48RM, and not much to shout about
🥬 the qinglong vegetables were really good, a generous portion too for our fibre intake

The seafood here is absolutely amazing and definitely worth a visit! I tried two crabs, sotong, and soft-shell crab, and everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The portions were generous, the seasoning was perfect, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for such high-quality seafood. It’s rare to find a place that tastes this good without being expensive. The lady boss was also very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole dining experience even better. Had vomitting and food poisoning after eating chili crab and claypot prawn. The food here is cheap yes but it is not fresh, no wonder safety rating is B. Service is super slow as well, where u expect a 1h wait for non-peak dining. The toilet behind is also dirty and lots of cockroaches

This place is truly delicious. I drove 30 minutes from Shindoshi after seeing the reviews, but it was worth it. I ordered the crab soft-shell crab bun set, and I was amazed at how much I enjoyed it with the fried rice and seasoning.

The Black pepper crab the best i ever try, order claypot tahu with fish maw, kangkung belacan and kari udang galah all is fresh and flavourful. This is a hidden gem, if you’re not from around here and hardly venture beyond City Square, KSL or Mid-Valley Southkey. Seafood is fresh, portion is great, taste is fantastic. The best part, price is really reasonable.

Pretty good crab focused zichar that flies under the radar. Got two crabs because we were told they were small crabs but turned out to be full of meat anyway.

Saw all the good reviews and we decided to go and try out ourselves, and indeed taste DELICIOUS and also very reasonably priced 😋 Tried their black pepper crab and it was really really good and their salted egg yolk crab was good too, taste similar to the one at YiJia. I personally prefer black pepper style it is my all time favourite since young. If you like crab roe please call one day in advance to order 大闸蟹. Had a great dinner, very sincere family business owner, hope more people will patronise to keep them going. 🥰🥰 only managed to take one photo as it was the first dish that was served and I cannot resist and already started eating 😂

Flavour wise, spicy dishes are really spicy while others are abit lacking in flavours.
Service was a bit slow, ordered about 10 different dishes and it took them 1 hour + to serve all. One chicken dish was undercooked and another missed the key ingredient of the dishes.

Today, by chance, my friend and I came to this restaurant to enjoy our lunch. We ordered their fried rice & fried egg noodles. The taste was very good. Their food was very wok-flavored. Had the fortune of eating this over the weekend. Turned out to be an excellent, value for money choice. Some of the freshest and most delicious crabs I have ever tasted. Had the chili crab and salted egg flavours. Superbly cooked, very well done. Will come again next JB trip.

A v.relaxing place for dinner, more of home based cooking. The chilli crab is nice. My friend like the pepper crab too. 青龙菜 is very nice, especially when eating together with the crabs. The giant butter prawns are tasty too. The hawthorn, sour plum, balonglong drinks are fresh n nice too ! Have give it a try !

A nice, simple but great seafood restaurant in this area! One of the best chilli crab we had, a little spicy but fragrant! The softshell crab is also amazing! The mantou is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Good and fast service! Lots of parking space. Wish the business will flourish and continue to serve amazing and affordable seafood! Order crabs and curry fish head for dinner on top of the kang kong and claypot tofu. The black pepper crab is unique and has a buttery taste. For those who wish or can only accept to eat traditional black pepper crab, the black pepper crab maybe not suitable. taste is subjective but i kind of like this unique taste.

We happen to drop by after our massage to this restaurant. Although they are closing, they still welcomed us to dine in. We ordered stir fried bok choy, kam heong chicken & onion omelette. Food is exceptionally good and no crowd. Love the chilli crab and Kam Heong crab. Price is reasonable cheap, RM 128 for set of 2 XL size crab + softshell crab + fried bun, RM 68 for set of 3 dishes - can choose the flavours (tofu, fish fillet/fish head/sea prawn, vegetable) . Curry fish is flavourful, fried rice is good, claypot toufu is just on point and suitable for kids. Definitely will come again!!

This is one shop that I would rather keep to myself.....but my wife said: sharing something good is not only caring, but also gather good Karma 😅😅. So I only say 1 thing, come and find out for yourself, not only the freshess & flavours, but the ultimate value. I hv an intricate palate, so getting 7.5/10 from me is no mean feat.
One minor negative comment though: the sauce for the chilli crab was slightly bland on the day of our visit...but it could be becos the "Kam-heong" crab we order before the chili crab was too robust

The black pepper crabs and chili crabs at this Seafood Restaurant are spicy and appetizing. The soft - shelled crabs are crispy and delicious. The curry fish head comes with a rich and mellow soup and tender fish. The fried mantou here is sweet, delicious and not greasy, which is quite amazing. Whether dipped in the chili crab sauce or the curry soup, the whole family unanimously think it taste really good. This experience was fantastic. We must come again next time to try other seafood!

Loved the Kum Heong crab here. Super flavourful. 2 crabs for RM 128 (usual price RM 108. Slight premium for CNY). Wasn’t too busy on a Saturday evening. Whole meal was RM 165 for 2 pax. So prices are pretty reasonable here.

The chili crab was fiery and not the ketchupy variant found in singapore. Owner is from Indonesia, I like their rendition of the chili crab. Left a fiery punch in my stomach after, in a nice way. The Assam pedas fish head was good and rich would have been more balanced if pineapples were added to give a hint of sweetness. Friends complained of the scales found in the fish head though. Also ordered the hot plate toufu and kangkong which tasted more home cooked. Good value with the crab promo! Will make a return trip!

Ordered chilli crab and black pepper crab. I love the chilli gravy. It is thick and quite unique, with a hint of "rendang". However, the crab meat was a tad of a let down. The meat for the black pepper crab was a lot better, and the sauce was great too!

Wholesaler price for crabs and seafood. Very meaty fresh XL crabs. Food price is very reasonable. Honest owner and friendly people. family business so the place is clean and have aircon. Brought friends to try and everyone really enjoy the food

Very nice Chili Crab. Quite spicy but nice. Soft shell crab got generous portions that come with the promotion Will visit again if I get a chance. No crowds during weekdays night

Just Seafood Restaurant is an underrated gem that not many people know of. The seafood here is absolutely delicious—fresh, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. The black pepper crab was amazing and the highlight of the meal, among others. The warm and inviting atmosphere made the experience even better, creating the perfect ambiance for a great meal. Plus, the prices are incredibly affordable for the quality of food you get. If you're a seafood lover looking for a fantastic dining experience, this is the place to go! Highly recommend.
